- 48V Direct Current
- 230V Alternating Current
- Grounding equipment
Responding to the customer's needs EUCLYDE provides 48V DC and 230V alternating current. Power supply details:
The 48V DC is generated by a power unit in two ways A & B. Redundance is ensured by two lines of batteries and a generator to compensate any EDF network problems. Time for the generator start up is 15sec max. In the mean time energy is provided by the batteries. Cable supports are laid under the raised flooring and designed to allow the shortest distance between the customer's equipment modules and the 48V DC supply. Connections to the junction boxes are done exclusively by EUCLYDE. Customers are responsible for installation and cable connections inside their own racks.
- The 230V AC is provided by a UPS N+1 system. In case of an EDF blackout, power is supplied by the UPS batteries until the generator starts up (max 15 seconds). The same time is needed for switching back to EDF. Customer's equipment is linked to the 230V AC through IP 44 plugs situated under Customer's racks within the raised flooring. Connection to the power distribution boxes is performed exclusively by EUCLYDE. Customer is responsible for installation and cable connections inside their own racks.
- Electrical Grounding systems: EUCLYDE provides both mechanical and electronic grounding systems which allow Customer to safely install their equipment, racks and frames. The two grounding systems are separated in order to avoid electric charge transference. The guaranteed level of resistance is 5 Ohms.
- If the customer wants to use their own racks, they have to make sure that they match the grounding regulations and must provide EUCLYDE with access to connection cables. NYY-0 or HO7V 1x16mm2 must be used. Ground cables must be distinctively marked.
- The customer will be informed of the length of cable needed in the process of installation. Customers shall be responsible for installation inside their own racks.
Air Conditioning
- Air conditioning is done according to to the ETS 300 019-2-3 Class 3.1 standard which ensures the best performance of IT equipment.
- Under normal conditions temperature in the hosting premises is 22 °C (+/- 2 °C) and relative humidity is 50% (+/- 10%).
- Hosting units are air conditioned through the raised flooring. Openings in the flooring are performed by EUCLYDE
- In hosting areas 300 Lux lighting is provided.
Fire Safety
The hosting premises are equipped with a fire alarm, sprinklers and trespass detectors. The fire alarm consists of a fume aspiration system under the raised flooring and infra red detectors placed on the ceiling and completed by an automated extinguishing system(FM200).
Physical security
Motion detectors secure all doors, air conditioning conduits, cable lines and windows where necessary.
